Apple released the new 3G iPhone recently and in the flurry of activity, one little detail was overlooked by most buyers. The new 3G iPhone is actually not compatible with most existing iPhone and iPod chargers. That includes aftermarket car kits and audio adapters such as the Belkin iTrip and other FM transmitters. Many desktop speaker systems have also been reported to be now obsolete. So this means anyone who paid hundreds of dollars for professionally installed car kits, now have no way to charge their new iPhone. This has angered a huge segment of early buyers.

On July 1st the new cell phone hands-free law goes into effect in California. It is now illegal to use a cell phone while driving without the use of a hands-free device such as a headset or built-in car kit solution. The California cell phone driving law also prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from completely using a cell phone at all, regardless of their hands-free status.
